SABELA HUNTING

At Sabela Safaris we are able to hunt throughout the year, but due to calving season and the summer heat, it is preferable from mid-March to end October.
Most of our hunting is by walk and stalk method and you will be accompanied by a professional hunter and tracker at all times.

At Sabela the hunt is all about fair chase, so be prepared to leopard crawl across the plains to avoid being spotted by watchful herds of blesbuck and black wildebeest.
If it’s the elusive Kudu you are after, find a good vantage point amongst the thick Spekboom bush and wait for the first rays of sun to warm the hilltops. Keep a sharp lookout for movement amongst the thicket as these majestic antelope appear out of the mist.

Practice your stalking skills in the thick bushveld when looking for warthog or bushbuck. This is close quarters hunting, never knowing what might be around the next thicket. At Sabela Safaris you can enjoy hunting in a vastly diverse landscape, with an abundance of game.

Our clients can select from our trophy list or have a package tailor made on request.
Species not on our trophy list can mostly be sourced in the Eastern Cape. This will be done on request and must be arranged well in advance.

  • Valid Passport (6 months from day of entry) with at least 2 blank pages

DAILY RATE 2018

  • 1 Hunting Client & 1 Professional Hunter R 2500.00 per day
  • 2 Hunting Clients & 1 Professional Hunter R 2000.00 per person/day
  • Groups of 4 Hunting Clients or more: 2 Hunters & 1 Professional Hunter R1850.00 per person/day
  • Observer R 1400.00 per day

THE ABOVE RATES INCLUDE:

  • Accommodation and meals
  • Collection & drop off at Port Elizabeth Airport
  • All land transportation during safari
  • Lodge serviced daily
  • Daily laundry service
  • Field preparation of trophies
  • Hunting licenses and TOPS Permits

THE ABOVE RATES DO NOT INCLUDE:

  • 14% VAT (Value Added Tax) on daily rates.
  • Trophy fees.
  • Rifle hire at R800.00 for duration of hunt per client.
  • Ammunition at cost.
  • Dip & Pack of trophies .
  • Gratuities for Professional Hunter, Tracker and Camp Staff.
  • Alcoholic Beverages.
